There was a time when I studied my Klout Score every day, and worked hard at increasing it… but then I removed all my profiles from Klout and dusted them off as another meaningless statistic.
Yesterday I got an email from a college who runs a web design business in Indianapolis. He relayed news from one of his clients, a large boat dealer, who had just returned from a conference that was hosted by one of the top-line boat manufacturers. During this meeting, the manufacturers told the dealerships that they must have a minimum Klout Score of 52 in order to maintain their dealership status!
This is kind-of like a splash of cold water!
And it wakes me up to revisiting Klout… and getting more familiar with the Klout Scores of my client websites.
What are your thoughts on Klout?
